Grants for Medical Education

Relypsa supports independent educational activities of organizations that are focused on hyperkalemia and associated conditions. Through such efforts, we aim to improve patient care, encourage disease awareness, and educate healthcare organizations and professionals.

Relypsa does not support grants for certain purposes, including:

  • Individual scholarships and travel support
  • Attendance at a conference or professional meeting
  • Political or religious purposes
  • Initiatives that pose a conflict of interest with the commercial or development goals of Relypsa

  • Reasonableness of budget compared with project scope
  • Value the organization brings to its community through proposed activities, and whether the specific program to be funded furthers that organization’s mission
  • The program’s compliance with certain standards, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Guidance on Industry-Supported Scientific and Educational Activities, the ACCME Standards for Commercial Support of Continuing Medical Education, and the PhRMA Code on Interactions with Healthcare Professionals
